Kushinada-hime ( ク シ ナ ダ ヒ メ ; Kojiki : 櫛 名 田 比 売 Nihon shoki : 奇 稲 田 姫 ) - in Japanese mythology, the female kami is the wife of the god Susanoo . The daughter of the earth god Asinazuti and his wife is Tenadzuchi [1] . Her name is a pun, as it can mean both “virgin from Inad” and “virgin comb” (“kushi” also translates as “ comb ”).
In “ Kodziki ” and “ Nihongi ” appears in the myth of the martial arts of Susanoo with the snake Yamata no Oroti . He turned the goddess, whom the parents had to give the snake, into a comb and hid it in his hairdo. After defeating the snake, Susanoo began to look for a place in Izumo province where he could build a palace, he found it in the land of Suga ( 須 賀 я ) , there Susanoo married Kusinada-hime.
The Kojiki tells us that Sussanoo, on the occasion of his wedding, composed a song:

These chambers are in eight fences!
This song is considered the beginning of the beginning of Japanese waka poetry [1] .
Subsequently, Susanoo and Kushinada-hime had many children, among whom was Yashimasinumi who is mentioned as the ancestor of Okuninushi , the Great Master of the country.
Kushinada-hime is a revered deity in many temples associated with Susanoo, such as the Yasaka Temple in Kyoto , the Nakono Temple in Nagoya , and the Yaegaki Temple in Shiman Prefecture .
