Geography
Located in the southwest of the area. The area of the district is 735 km² (the smallest district of the region by area). The main rivers are Iput , Netesh , Zlynka .
History
Almost the entire territory of the current Zlynkovsky district until 1919 was part of the Novozybkovsky district of the Chernigov province , and in 1919 it was transferred to the Gomel province of the RSFSR . In 1926 , in connection with the dissolution of the Gomel province, it became part of the Bryansk province .
In 1929 , with the introduction of a new administrative division, the provinces and counties were liquidated. The territory of the modern Zlynkovsky district entered Novozybkovsky district , which was originally included in the Klintsy district of the Western region with its center in Smolensk . In 1937 - 1944 he entered the Oryol region .
In 1939, the Zlynkovsky district was formed [5] .
On July 5, 1944, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Bryansk Region was formed, which, along with others, included the Zlynkovsky District.
In 1959, the district was abolished and again included in the Novozybkovsky district , and on November 24, 1988, it was restored [5] .

Transport
The main railway line Bryansk - Gomel runs through the district. In the village of Vyshkov, there is the Zlynka railway station of the Moscow Railway.
In the village of Krasny Kamen, Zlynkovsky District, the Russian federal highway M13 and the Belarusian M10 join.
Interesting Facts
The Sankovo-Medvezhye enclave located inside the Dobrush district of the Gomel region of Belarus belongs administratively to the Zlynkovsky district.
