Andronik V Palaeologus was the only known son of John VII Palaeologus and Irena (Irina) Gattilusio , the archon’s daughter Fr. Lesbos Francesco Gattilusio .
During his father’s stay in Thessaloniki in 1403/1404, he was proclaimed by Andronicus V Palaeologus as co-ruler. Andronicus dies faster than his father in 1407 at the age of 7 years.
It should be noted that his imperial status, like his father, was of a purely honorable nature.
