Tjodalv ( Norwegian Tjodalv , real name Ian Kenneth Åkesson) is a Norwegian drummer . He is one of the founders of the groups Dimmu Borgir [1] and Old Man's Child . [2] He currently plays in Black Comedy and Susperia . [3] Tjodalv played guitar from the first Dimmu Borgir albums - Inn I Evighetens Mørke and For All Tid . Then he changed the instrument to drums, performing songs on the Stormblåst album on them and continued to work on drums through 1999 . For family reasons and because of disagreements in music, he parted amicably with Dimmu Borgir. He was replaced by Nicholas Barker , a former drummer of Cradle of Filth .

Shortly before his departure from Dimmu Borgir, he founded the group Susperia , in which he still plays.
