The flag of Bogoroditsk is the official symbol of the municipality, the city of Bogoroditsk, the Bogoroditsky municipal district of the Tula region of the Russian Federation .

The flag was originally approved on June 24, 2002 , as the flag of the municipality “Bogoroditsk and Bogoroditsky District”, and was entered in the State Heraldry Register of the Russian Federation under number 1060. As a result of municipal reform in Russia , independent municipalities of Bogoroditsk and Bogoroditsky were formed area. Based on the appeal of the Assembly of Deputies of the Bogoroditsk Municipality of the Bogoroditsk District of August 18, 2009 No. 130, it was decided: “the flag that previously belonged to the Bogoroditsk and Bogoroditsk District municipality, approved on June 24, 2002, should be considered the city of Bogoroditsk to be the flag of the municipality keeping registration number 1060. "
Description
“A rectangular green cloth with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, with a white stripe along the flagpole constituting 2/5 of the flag, and on the strip there is an image of nine green branches of the Bogoroditsky grass from the coat of arms of the city of Bogoroditsk.”
Symbols
The flag was designed taking into account the coat of arms of the city of Bogoroditsk, which is based on the historical coat of arms of the county town of Bogoroditsk, Tula governorship, highly approved on March 8 (19), 1778 . The original description of the historical coat of arms reads: “In a silver field, nine branches of grass, called Bogoroditskaya, are swept up to reveal the name of this city.”
Using the composition of the historical coat of arms of the city of Bogoroditsk shows the attentive and caring attitude of local residents to their traditions, history and culture.
Bogorodskaya grass ( creeping thyme ) is one of the most popular plants from ancient times used in folk medicine, as well as in the ritual culture of the Russian people. Widespread in the vicinity of the city and echoing the name Bogorodskaya grass in the XVIII century was placed on the coat of arms, indicating the name of the city.
White color (silver) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.
Green color is a symbol of youth, health, life growth.
