Description
Body length 2.6-2.7 mm. Head behind eyes elongated, parallel-sided, slightly rounded at the back. Radio cell is absent. [one]
Etymology
The genus is named after the Russian hymenopterologist and wasp specialist A. S. Lelei , and the species name is given in honor of the American entomologist William Ashmead (William Harris Ashmead, 1855-1908).
Systematics
The original type species of the genus Lelejola ashmeadi Gorbatovsky, 1995 was described as Sierola ashmeadi Gorbatovsky, 1995 as part of the genus Sierola Cam., 1881 . In 1998 it was isolated as an independent genus.
