History
The newspaper was founded in 1920 [5] .
The progenitor of Kazakhstani Pravda is the Russian-language newspaper Izvestia of the Kyrgyz Region, the first issue of which was published on January 1, 1920 [3] . She was a weekly weekly on Thursdays. The subscription price for half a year was 50 rubles, for a separate issue - 2 rubles.
The appeal from the editorial office said that "the first task of the publication is to introduce the rule of law in the region, acts of the government, designed to guide the life and work of the population." The goal was proclaimed - "the gradual creation of a print organ, which would be not only an official, but also an expresser of the needs and requests of the vast Kazakh region - a national newspaper."
With the formation of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , the status of the newspaper also rose; in July 1921, it became an organ of the RCP and the Central Executive Committee of the republic. Since 1923 she began to go out six times a week.
Three times she changed her name. From 1921, Izvestia Kirgizskogo Krai became the Steppe Truth, and from 1923 to 1932 the newspaper was published under the name Sovetskaya Steppe [3] .
By the resolution of the III Plenum of the Kazkraykom, the newspaper was renamed “Kazakhstani Pravda”. Under this name, on January 21, 1932 its first issue was released [3] .
The newspaper left a deep mark on talented journalists: Olga Berggolts ; Pavel Kuznetsov - a well-known translator of Zhambyl , during the war years - editor of the Panfilov divisional newspaper “For Homeland” and special correspondent of “Pravda” Pavel Rogozinsky and Sergey Krushinsky - subsequently prominent Soviet publicists. The newspaper worked closely with Mikhail Zoshchenko , Kukryniksy , Sergeev-Tsensky , Olga Forsh , Konstantin Simonov , Konstantin Paustovsky .
