Camryn Manheim ( born Camryn Manheim , March 8, 1961 , Caldwell ) is an American actress best known for her lawyer roles, Elleonor Frutt, on the ABC television series Practice , Ghost Talking on CBS , and her role Elvis's mother in the eponymous mini-series.

Biography
Manhei was born in Caldwell, New Jersey , but raised in Peoria , Illinois . She is the daughter of Sylvia, a teacher, and Jerome Manhei, a professor of mathematics. [3] Her family is Jewish . [4] [5] Manhay became interested in acting after participating in the Renaissance festival in high school. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1984 [6] and New York University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1987.
