"Do you live, comrade girnyak?" (1932)

Nine minute silent film with captions completely in Ukrainian. The film was shot at the Ukrainian mine "October" and recorded the miner's life: living families and singles in the same room, barracks, children in tatters, dirt in the house and on the street, disgusting food in the dining room. Scenes of meetings of the asset, equipped with ironic commentaries, were shot - a game with a glass and a decanter (the proverb “pouring from empty to empty”), pants with worn seats on the hanger (hinted at V. Mayakovsky ’s posed).

The film unambiguously answers the question “Do you live, comrade girnyak?” With the phrase “You can't live like this.” The film was shown to the miners, the asset and the management of the mine management. It immediately understood that the bosses of “Oktyabrskaya” had plundered the funds allocated for the improvement of everyday life. Subsequently, the leadership of the mine was put on trial.

“If tomorrow is war” (1938)

N. Karmazinsky worked on this film together with E. Dzigan , L. Antsi-Polovskiy , G. Berezko .
