History
These places have been inhabited since Roman-Byzantine times. In 1328 they were captured by the Turks. At the beginning of the 20th century, after the Jewish pogroms in Ukraine, Jewish families who fled from the Russian Empire to the Ottoman Empire were settled here. In 1945, immigrants from Bulgaria were settled on these lands.
Sultanbeyli became a separate area on December 31, 1987.
