Aetalionidae (= Biturritiidae Metcalf, 1951) is a family of homoptera insects from the superfamily Membracoidea [1] .

Distribution
Southeast Asia , America [1] .
Description
Body length from 3 to 30 mm. The fronts are flat or slightly convex. Diptera insects sucking plant juices. Often establish a symbiotic relationship with ants, which attracts nectar. Head flattened from above. Hind legs hopping [1] .
Systematics
3 genera. Previously considered as a subfamily Aetalioninae in the Membracidae or even in the status of the tribe Aetalioniini in the subfamily Centrotinae . [2]
