In Bhutan, the state religion is Buddhism . The Hindu minority was actively pursued, ethnic cleansing was carried out. Currently, more than 100,000 Hindu refugees from Bhutan reside in Nepal [1] [2] [3] .
Approximately a quarter of the population of Bhutan is ethnic Nepalese, who live mainly in the south and practice Hinduism. Among the Hindus are the schools of Saivism , Vaishnavism , Shaktism , Ganesh , Purana and Vedism . Hindu temples exist in southern Bhutan, and Hindus practice their religion in small and medium groups.
