Berdy Muradovich Tachmuradov was born on February 15, 1937 , in the village of Babaarap, Izgant village council of the Geok-Tepa district of the Ashkhabad region of the Turkmen SSR - a Soviet and Turkmen geologist, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences. He is widely known as a specialist in the exploration, calculation of reserves and development of oil and gas fields of Turkmenistan, one of the founders of the direction of the connection of mud volcanism with oil and gas fields.
