Mansa ( W. Punj. ਮਾਨਸਾ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ; English Mansa ) is a county in the Indian state of Punjab . Located in the south of the state. It was established in 1992 from part of the territory of Bhatinda County. The administrative center is the city of Mansa . The area of the district is 2169 km². According to the 2001 All-India Census, the district had a population of 688,758. Adult literacy rate was 52.4%, which is below the Indian average (59.5%). The share of urban population was 20.7%.
