History
The first documented mention of s. Golyatkin refers to the beginning of the XVII century. According to the scribe books of 1621-1623, the village of New Usad (the second name Golyatkino) belonged to the Podlesny camp of the Arzamas district. This village was on the estate for Ostafy Solovtsov, then for the boyar, Prince Ivan Borisovich Cherkassky. Then 45 families of the Golyatkin land and all the inhabitants were "described by the Sovereign." Judging by this number of inhabitants and the composition of the population, the village was founded no earlier than the beginning of the XVII century. After 250 years, in the middle of the XIX century, the village was part of the second camp of the Ardatovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod province. It was located 17 miles north-east of the city of Ardatov, on the trade route connecting Murom with the city of Arzamas. At that time, Golyatkino was considered a village - there was no church there. On the eve of the peasant reforms, the villagers were serf landowners Novikov and Kireev. In 1859, Golyatkino consisted of 103 yards; The population was as follows: 357 souls of the male population and 372 of the female. Agriculture was considered the main occupation of the inhabitants. The village of Golyatkino was one of the few settlements in the Ardatov district in which the peasants completely lacked their own bread from harvest to harvest. Loamy lands with an admixture of chernozem prevailed in the village. Such land was called "legovatoy". The average grain yield was self-four - self-heel. In the winter field, rye was sown, in the spring field - oats, hemp trees prevailed on the estate. After the peasant reforms of 1861, the village included the composition of the Mechasovo volost, two peasant societies were formed in the village itself. In the first Golyatkin community, land was distributed as follows: 378 acres of 2001 arable seedlings of arable land, 9 acres of 1231 acres of manor land, 15 acres of meadow land, 6 acres of pasture and 17 acres of woodland. The second community owned 249 acres of 725 arable land plots, 9 acres of 2140 acres of manor and 27 acres of 358 acres of meadows. The size of the shower allotment ranged from 2.5 to 3 acres. At the beginning of the XX century, Golyatkino belongs to the Mechasovo volost. In 1904, there were 3 grocery and haberdashery shops owned by I.P. Kopylova, A.I. Pudkova G.I. Pudkov. In 1910, there were 155 yards in the village, by 1912 their number was reduced to 140. In the same year, the total population was determined at 1,009 people. Peasant farmsteads contained a total of 396 livestock. In Golyatkin there was an oil mill, several windmills, and a steam mill. Private individuals spun cords. An elementary school was built. The village was large and rich. A large driveway passed by, carts of goods stretched along it. She was lined with birches. Behind them were built courtyards, or inns. This road was built during the Stolypin reform. During the Civil War, a food detachment was created in the village. Activists were local. In 1929, a collective farm was organized. Soon 11 families dispossessed. Until 1956, Golyatkino was the center of the village council. In 1968, the House of Culture, a rural library, and a medical center were opened. By 1970, the number of inhabitants increased, and youth began to remain in the village. In 1979, a rural school was built. In 1986, a kindergarten and a post office were opened.
