Kuttybay Mausoleum

Kuttybai mausoleum (kumbez) ( Kazakh. Ottayb kembezi ) is a mausoleum located in the Kazalinsky district of the Kyzylorda region , 5 km from the village of Urkendeu, an architectural monument of Kazakhstan of the 18th - 19th centuries . The architect of the mausoleum is unknown.

In 1982, the Kuttybai mausoleum was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of the Kazakh SSR of republican significance and taken under state protection [1] .

Architecture

The mausoleum is made of burnt bricks [2] . The size of the Kuttybai mausoleum is 11 × 9 m, height 9 m [2] . In terms of construction, it is a rectangle divided into two rooms - a square gurkhan with sides of 6 m and a narrow corridor [2] .

The front door is made from the side facade [2] . The mausoleum is blocked by a dome [2] . In the decoration of facades, figured brickwork of diverse brick is widely used [2] .
