Objectives ROPRYAL

• to promote the study of the Russian language in Russia, the CIS and other countries of the world as a means of intercultural communication and international cooperation
• development of professional ties and humanitarian contacts between teachers and other specialists involved in the problems of the Russian language, literature, culture
• to promote

Tasks ROPRYAL

• facilitate the exchange of information and experience in the field
  • Russian philology, regional studies, teaching methods of Russian literature, Russian and other languages
  • development and application of the most effective teaching methods and techniques
  • the use of technical means in teaching Russian language and literature
  • development and implementation of international research projects
• organization and holding of congresses, symposia, exhibitions and other events
• preparation and publication of scientific publications, teaching aids
• collecting information and creating a data bank on the topics of the company
• publication and distribution of reference materials, periodicals and other printed materials
• organization of the exchange of teachers and researchers specializing in the field of Russian studies, as well as persons studying the Russian language and literature (schoolchildren, students);

The highest governing body of ROPRYAL is the general meeting of members of the company, convened by the board as necessary, but at least once every five years. In the period between general meetings, the management of the company is carried out by executive bodies, the collegial - by the board, and the sole - by the president, elected by the general meeting for a term of five years. At the suggestion of the president, the general meeting elects vice presidents who are members of the board. The operational management of the company is carried out by the executive secretary appointed by the president and the apparatus (formed by two secretariats located in St. Petersburg and Moscow). Supervisory functions are assigned to the Supervisory Board, elected by the general meeting for a term of five years.

Full members of ROPRYAL (with casting vote at the general meeting) may be legal entities (associations of teachers of the Russian language and literature, Slavic studies, linguistic and literary societies, higher educational institutions, scientific and other organizations dealing with issues of the Russian language and literature), as well as Russian citizens (individuals). Foreign nationals may be associated members. Prominent figures in education, science, culture, who have made a significant contribution to the implementation of the charter goals and objectives of society, can be recognized as honorary members of ROPRYAL. In total, ROPRYAL has 100 members ^[2] .
