Biography

In the Red Army since 1939. On the fronts of World War II - from January 1942. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1945.

The scout of the 496th separate reconnaissance company, Junior Sergeant Nikifor Markov, on the night of September 26, 1943 in the area of ​​the village of Soshinovka in the Verkhnedneprovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine as part of an intelligence group crossed the Dnieper River . In the battle for the bridgehead, the reconnaissance soldier destroyed eight enemy soldiers, one officer, and captured a light machine gun.

In the same 1943, in one of the battles, N. N. Markov was seriously wounded. After which he had to be treated for a long time. After being discharged from the hospital in 1944, the brave scout was demobilized.

He lived and worked in the capital of Tatarstan - the city of Kazan, and since 1952 - in the city of Naro-Fominsk, Moscow Region. Before leaving for a well-deserved rest, he worked at a silk factory.

He died on August 11, 1997.
