Spasskoye is a village in the Bugulminsky district of Tatarstan . It is the administrative center and is part of the Spassky rural settlement [1] .

Geography

The village is located on the right bank of the Shaitanka River (left tributary of the Dymka ), 20 km southeast of the district center - the city of Bugulma .

The Bugulminskoe highway passes through the village, connecting the settlements of the southwestern, southern and southeastern parts of the Bugulminsky district.

History

Spasskoye village was founded in 1743 and was known as Klyuchi [2] and Rychkovo (named after the first owner P. I. Rychkov [3] ). Land was allocated to Rychkov by the first Orenburg governor I. I. Neplyuyev as a reward for his diligent service [4] . Rychkov went down in history as the first historian of the Southern Urals .

Residents belonged to the category of landlord peasants , at the beginning of the 19th century they were transferred to the category of free farmers , in 1848 they were assigned to state peasants [3] .

In 1757, a stone church in the name of the Transfiguration of the Lord was consecrated in the village, and in 1765 it was consecrated. During the Pugachev uprising, the village was ravaged, the church was looted. In 1774 - re-consecrated. In 1851, chapels were added to the church, consecrated in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and in the name of St. Metrophane of Voronezh [2] .

Until 1920, the village was the center of the Spasskaya volost of the Bugulma district of the Orenburg province , and then - of the Samara province . Since 1920, it became part of the Bugulma canton of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , and since 1930, in the Bugulma district [3] .

Population

The population of the village in 2008 was 622 inhabitants. According to the 2002 census, 57% of Russians, 35% of Tatars [3] .

Current situation

There is a Spassky elementary school in the village - a kindergarten, a feldsher-midwife station, a post office and a rural culture house with a library. There are two private stores. The school building has a museum room of P. I. Rychkov [5] .

The village is completely gasified, a telephone exchange and a cell tower of the operator Tattelecom are installed [5] .

Attractions

A spring in the center of the village has the status of a nature monument of regional significance “ Spassky Klyuchi ” [5] . The flow rate of water exceeds 100 l / s. The source feeds the Dymka River, forming a picturesque pond [6] .

The Church of the Ascension of the Lord is restored, which received the protective status of an object of cultural heritage of national significance [7] . At the temple, the grave of P. I. Rychkov was preserved [3] .
