Sterlibashevsky madrasah

Sterlibashevsky madrasah is a madrasah operating in the village of Sterlibash in the Ufa province (now in the Sterlibashevsky district of Bashkortostan ) at the local mosque . Opened in 1720. Subsequently, it was administered by the Orenburg Mohammedan spiritual assembly . Closed in 1919.

Training

The training course included Muslim dogma, law , logic , Arabic and other subjects and took 6-10 years. In the nineteenth century, under the mudarris Nigmatulla bin Biktimer bin Tukay al-Sterli ( 1772 - 1844 ) and his sons Muhammadharis ( 1810 - 1870 ) and Muhammadharras ( 1814 - 1871 ), pupils of the Bukhara madrassas, disciples and supporters of the Gabdavinidisrata Gabdinadisyratna Madrasnadisinarasnadisrati to a large theological educational institution. New buildings were built — by the mid- 1860s , their number reached 25. Talented spiritual teachers such as Shamsetdin Zaki were involved. Riza Fakhretdin reported that "under Nigmatullah mudarris, the Sterlibashevsky madrasah turned into a" higher educational institution "."

In the post-reform period, the madrasah retains its traditions and popularity. Innovations in the spirit of Jadidism , new subjects are introduced into the educational process: Russian language , geography , history , arithmetic , natural science . In the early 1800s, the number of chakirs reached 200, and in the 1860s - 1870s - 500-600. Among teachers and students - Gabdrahim Utyz Nameni , Salavat Yulaev [1] , Hibatulla Salikhov , Mirsalikh Bekchurin (Bikchurin, Biksurin), Miftakhetdin Akmulla , Gali Chokry (Socoroy), Chokan Valikhanov , Gali Rafiki , members of the Russian State Dafin -Sh. Tukaev , Sharafutdin Makhmudov and others.

In 1917, the library at the madrasah numbered 65 thousand volumes [2] .
