On August 26, 1944, a group of Bulgarian communists, led by Stanke Dimitrov, flew from Moscow to their native country on a Li-2 plane to lead an antimonarchist uprising planned for September. The plane made a stop in Bryansk, and when taking off from the Bryansk airport [2] it crashed, in which all members of the delegation died. Some historians try to see in this tragedy a staging of an accident, performed on behalf of Stalin or George Dimitrov , but no confirmation of these hypotheses was found [3] .
