General Information
Michaela is one of the three children of Peter and Peacocks Kraychekov; her brothers name is Richard and Peter Jr. The parents themselves did not play sports at a professional level, but they quickly and seriously accustomed their children to it: Peter the Younger plays basketball, and Richard and Michaella play tennis. The Netherlands first came to court in three years, when her parents brought her to a club in Delft .
Krycek has excellent pitching and plays in the attacking vein, preferring quick grass courts to all the rest.
Sports career
Junior career
Michaela made her debut at a very young age in the top division of junior tennis. In the summer of 2002, she immediately won 17 matches in a row at small competitions in this series. Having gained experience, in the winter of 2003, Krycek conducts an equally effective series of tournaments of the highest categories in the New World , winning competitions in the Mexican Tlalnepantl de Bas [2] and Merida [3] , as well as in Costa Rica San José [4] . Gradually, the Dutchwoman becomes one of the leaders of such competitions. On her grand slam debut tournament ( Roland Garros - 2003 ) she reaches the semi-finals. At the end of the 2003 season, Michaelel makes her way to the US Open final and helps her national team win the Federation Junior Cup . Even having become the first junior racket of Michaelel in the fall of 2003, she didn’t go full-time to adult competitions, until in the fall of 2004 she won the junior US Open , beating Victoria Azarenka in the final. During these years, Krycek shone not only in singles, but also in doubles. In her two Grand Slam debut tournaments, the Dutchwoman reached the final, and won her third. In these tournaments Czech Katerina Bogmava performed as her partner. In the fall of 2004, the Dutchwoman ended her career in the junior Grand Slam tournaments with a victorious double - in addition to the single title, the doubles were also taken.
First years in adult tour
In the summer of 2003, at the home tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch , Krycek made her debut at an adult competition. In 2004, Michaelel increasingly plays in professional tour competitions, and in April he makes his debut in the Federation Cup matches, playing for the national team in the regional zone matches. She spent her first game in the national team at the age of 15 years and 101 days, becoming the youngest tennis player in the history of the Netherlands team [5] . In a short time, gaining experience in games of a similar level, the Dutch by the autumn all play more productively: several 10-thousandths won, qualified at the WTA tournament in Luxembourg . The game year ends with a semi-final on the 75-thousanders in Poitiers (here the first victory was won over Top100) and the title on the 50-thousanders in Bergamo .
2005 season, thanks to last year's junior and adult successes, Michael begins in Australia , where he first plays in Canberra , and then debuts in adult Grand Slam tournaments, overcoming qualifications at once, and even winning one match at the base. This success allows Krycek to enter the Top200 single ranking for the first time. Then Michael continues to improve his rating, fighting for titles at ITF competitions and occasionally winning 1-2 matches at WTA competitions. At the end of spring, thanks to her rating, she makes her way to the selection of the French Grand Slam tournament and passes it again. Before the June series of grass tournaments, the Dutchwoman is included in the Top100 single classification. Having missed several months due to injury in 's-Hertogenbosch , the Dutchwoman returned to the tour in the fall. Immediately she manages to get a good shape and she wins at the WTA tournament in Tashkent , and then goes to the semifinals of a similar competition in Hasselt (the 13th World No. Nathalie Deshi is replayed in the quarterfinals). All these successes allow Krycek to play a few hundred lines in the ranking in a year and finish the season with the 58th racket of the world in a single ranking.
In 2005, the first double successes came: in April, along with Hungarian Agnes Saway , the Dutchwoman wins by 75,000 in French Dinant , and later goes twice to the WTA finals: first in Oeiras and then in Hasselt .
2006-07
In 2006-07, Krycek was at the height of his solo career. At the start of the 2006 season, Michaelle wins seven matches in a row (simultaneously winning her second WTA single title in Hobart ), until being removed due to minor damage in the third round of the Australian Open in the match against the successful winner of the tournament Amelie Mauresmo . Going to another level of tournaments and searching for stability on it reduces the level of results, but from time to time a Dutch woman shows good results: in March she reaches the third round in Miami , and in May she reaches the semi-final in Istanbul . A little later, Krycek won her second title of the season, winning a home competition in the Hertogenbosch , and in the semi-final against the eighth racket of the world Elena Dementieva, she lost the first set 1-6, and took the second in an equal fight on a tiebreaker with a score of 7-5. Occasionally celebrating in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, the Dutchwoman rises to the 35th line of the single rating by the end of the year.
In 2006, Michaelel made his debut at the pair competitions of Grand Slam tournaments, reaching Agnes Sawai in the third round in Australia . In summer, for the first time ever, the Dutchwoman wins the doubles title at WTA competitions, taking two main prizes in two weeks (at tournaments in Budapest and Palermo ) with Jeanette Gusarov . In the same year, Krycek received his first major team achievement: together with Peter Wessels, she reaches the final at the Hopman Cup . The start of the 2007 season is not very successful: before the April competition in Charleston, she won only four matches in seven tournaments. At the same competition in South Carolina, the Dutch reached the quarterfinals, leaving out the eighth racket of the world Nicole Vaidishov . Very successful for Krycek folding European Grand Slam tournaments: she plays in the third round in France and makes its way to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon . Several local victories in WTA tournaments until the end of the season allow Michael for the year to maintain their positions in a single ranking. Double year passed without much success. Only once the Dutch managed to reach the semi-finals.
2008-11
In 2008, there was a sharp decline in results, due to which Krycek by the end of the season fell into the third hundred of the single ranking. The first half of the season was very unsuccessful, when the Dutchwoman was losing to everyone and everywhere. Piquet managed to slow down only in June, when Michaelle wins his first victories. After the grass season, Krycek took a pause in performances and returned to the games only in the fall. Attempts to preserve at least some decent rating lead to a positive result only once when the Dutchman succeeds in reaching the final for the 100-thousandth in Bratislava .
C 2009 begins the gradual revival of Michaella: a variety of local successes in WTA competitions and major ITF tournaments allow her to play 90 lines in a single classification in a year. Back in Top100, however, it is possible only in 2011, when she manages to visit the semifinals of the WTA competitions twice, and also after twelve tournaments to play again at the heart of the Grand Slam tournament. In pair competitions, the deterioration of the results was not so global and the Dutch woman was periodically noted at the decisive stages of the WTA competitions: in 2008, she had a final and a title; in 2009 and 2010 - two finals at the level of WTA and many decisive games at major ITF tournaments . Such results make it possible to complete each year in the steam classification of contacts without any problems. Little has changed in 2011, although the stand with prizes from the finals of the WTA tournaments was replenished with only one plate for the final (in Oeiras ).
2012-14
In early 2012, the Netherlands continued to hold its position in the rankings, marking two quarterfinals in singles (in Acapulco and Memphis ) and getting the semi-finals and finals in a pair. Regular tournament life was interrupted in June, when Krycek repeatedly began to fail her health: she missed Wimbledon without catching a cold, [6] later she suffered from knee pain and heart problems. [7] As a result, in September, Michaella took a break in her speeches, which lasted for six months.
The Dutch woman returned to the tour sporadically in April 2013, immediately winning the 10-thousandth figure in Greece in both categories, and from June began more regular performances. In singles until the end of the year, the performance left much to be desired for a long time and by January Krycek could only rise to the third hundred of the classification, never having passed any quarter past the quarter-finals; in the doubles, a more familiar level of results was achieved faster: in September, the Netherlands won the WTA competition for the first time, winning the Suzhou Junior Series tournament with Timaya Babosh , and later played in the finals several less status prizes in alliances with Martha Domakhovskaya , Andrea Glavchkova and Lucius Gradetskaya . With the latter, cooperation soon became regular.
In 2014, the Czech-Dutch couple chalked up the first joint final at WTA tournaments , playing in a title match in Auckland , New Zealand , but the alliance could not achieve special results: both girls tried to restore their rating and, despite the occasional victories over champion race leaders failed to compete for getting to the Final tournament . Lucie eventually returned to the first hundred singles classification, and Michaela, after several health problems, focused on doubles games; The joint notable success after the Australian series was limited to winning the 100 thousandth in Prague and reaching the semifinals at Roland Garros . When the calendars Hradecka and Krycek did not coincide, the Netherlands was quite successful in association competitions, having won the title at the tournament in Nuremberg and the final at the competitions in 's-Hertogenbosch .
2015
A year later, cooperation with Czechs continued, but Bardera Zaglavova-Strytsova took the place of Gradetskaya. Most of the competitions ended with early defeats, and only occasionally did the Krycek team go far down the net: reaching the semi-finals in Brisbane and the Australian Open and reaching the quarter-finals at Roland Garros .
