Tom Hulse ( born Thomas Edward Hulce ) is an American actor. Full name is Thomas Edward Hulse. Born December 6, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, USA (according to other sources, was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin).

Biography
Grew up in Plymouth , Michigan. He dreamed of becoming a singer, but after breaking his voice, he decided that he would be a theater actor. He graduated from the Interlochen Academy of Arts, and studied drama at the Winston-Salem, North Carolina School of Art. In 1967 he performed on the stage of the student theater of the University of Michigan .
In the early 1970s - on Broadway and off Broadway in episodic roles. Then he plays leading roles in the plays of Chekhov, Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, and in musicals. He made his debut on TV in 1975. In the movie, a year later he starred in the role of brother in the film "Song of Myself" (1976).
He gained world fame after the brilliant performance of the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the Oscar-winning film of Milos Forman " Amadeus " (1984, " David di Donatello " [1] , nominations for Oscars [2] and Golden Globes [3] , Italian Association Award journalists).
In 1988, he played the role of Nikki Luciano in Robert Young's film “ Dominic and Eugene ” (nomination for the Golden Globe, 1989 [4] ). In 1990, he played the role of social worker, freedom fighter Mickey Schwerner in the film “ Murder in the Mississippi ” (nominations for the Golden Globe [5] and Emmy ).
He received the CableACE Award [6] and was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Peter Patron in the miniseries The Chronicles of Heidi's Life (1995).
For dubbing Quasimodo in the animated film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2" (2002) received a nomination for an Emmy in 2003.
Since 1998, he has been working as a theater director in Seattle, Washington. In 1990, he was nominated for “ Tony ” for his role in the play “Some Good Guys” . Tom Hulse is known for his excellent vocal abilities.
