The administrative center is the village of Lugi .
Geographic data
- Location: eastern part of the Andreapolsky district
- Borders:
- in the north - with the Penovsky district , the Okhvatsky joint venture
- in the east - with Selizharovsky district , Dmitrovsky joint venture
- in the south - with the Nelidovsky district , Vysokinsky joint venture and Nelidovsky joint venture
- in the west - with the Andreapolsky joint venture
- Borders:
The north-western part of the settlement is crossed by the Bologoe - Velikiye Luki railway line and the Andreapol - Peno - Khitino highway.
The main rivers are the Zhukopa and its tributaries Tuzma, Chornaya, Netoropovka, Kutevka ( Volga basin) and Netesma ( Zapadnaya Dvina basin ).
In the southeast, part of the settlement is occupied by the Central Forest Reserve .
History
With the formation in 1796 of the Tver province, the territory of the settlement entered the Ostashkov district . In the years 1929-1935. entered the Western region , since 1935 - in the Kalinin region . In 1944-1957 belonged to the Velikiye Luki region , since 1957 again to the Kalinin region , Leninsky district. In the years 1963-1965. included in the Toropetsk district. Since January 12, 1965 it belongs to the Andreapolsky district . [2]
It was founded in 2005 and included the territories of the Lugovsky and Zhukopsky rural districts.
