Eurovision 2010 is the thirty-ninth competition for Denmark. Danish broadcaster DR hosted the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix to select a participant.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010
On August 27, 2009, DR released detailed information about the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010. The rules adopted in 2009 remain the same: ten songs will be selected to participate in the competition, which will be held on February 6, 2010 in Aalborg , in Gigantium . [1] Six songs will be selected by a professional jury from applications sent to DR. Four songs will be written specially for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix by invited composers. [2]
Authors could submit their songs to DR until October 5, 2009. On this day, DR announced that 562 applications had been received. [3] Ten songs for the contest were selected by January 12th. [four]
On January 12, DR announced the names of ten members, including three "jokers": Brian Rice, Kaya Bruhl, and Sukkerchok. [five]
On January 13, it became known that Zindi Laursen was invited to participate in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010 with the song "All about me" as a "joker", however, twenty-four hours before the announcement of the names of the participants was refused. The band MariaMatilde with the song “Panik!” Became a replacement. [6]

Super Finals
In the second round of voting, the so-called “super-final”, the four selected songs competed among themselves. In the end, the winners were Chanée & N'evergreen with the song “In a moment like this”.

Semifinal
In the semifinals, Denmark performed fourth, after the participant from Israel and before the participant from Switzerland. According to the results of voting, Chanée & N'evergreen scored 101 points and took fifth place.

Final
At the draw for the finals, Chanée & N'evergreen received the twenty-fifth concluding performance. According to the results of the vote, Denmark scored 149 points and took fourth place. The representatives of Denmark received the maximum number of points from Ireland, Iceland, Romania, Poland and Slovenia.
