History
The Saratov Art School was founded on February 23 (11), 1897 as the Bogolyubov Art School. In August 1918, it was reorganized into free art workshops, in 1919 - the Higher State Art and Technical Workshops, in 1920 - the Art and Practice Institute, and in 1923 - the Art and Industrial College. From 1937 to the present, it is the Saratov Art College.
To the 100th anniversary of the school in 1997, the name of the founder was returned to him, and it began to be called the Saratov Art College named after A.P. Bogolyubov .
Information
Highly qualified teachers of general education, general professional and special disciplines work within the walls of the school. Of the 25 teachers of special disciplines of the school, 23 are its graduates, 15 are members of the Union of Artists of Russia . School graduates form the basis of the Saratov organization of the Union of Artists of Russia .
