History
The team was formed in the summer of 2008 , initially in the form of a duet - Susan Aho and Johanna Virtanen . Both participants had previously performed as part of the Värttinä group, Susan since 1998, Johanna since 2001. Having released their debut album “Kuunkuiskaajat” in 2009, the duo won the Finnish selection for Eurovision 2010 and represented their country in this competition.
In 2011, the band ceased to be a duet and became a full-fledged folk group - it included bassist Sampsa Asikainen, guitarist and trumpeter Topi Korhonen and drummer Kevin Knouna. While Susan continued to perform at Värttinä , Johanna left the band in 2012.
In September 2014, the group’s second album is expected. [one]
