Length 32-37 cm, wingspan 78-90 cm.
It feeds on small birds and large insects.
Migrant. It nests in the desert regions of northeastern Africa , the Middle East , the Arabian Peninsula , and the coastal regions of Pakistan . It winters in Madagascar and the coast of Mozambique .
