Sana'a Cooperation Group is an international regional organization. It was created in October 2002 in Sanaa on the initiative of the President of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh with the participation of the President of the Sudan Omar al-Bashir and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Meles Zenawi .
In 2011 , seven summits of the Group took place.
Content
Group Objectives
1. The development of cooperation between Member States to implement the aspirations of their peoples to development, progress and stability.
2. Preservation of peace, security and stability in the Horn of Africa and in the region of the southern part of the Red Sea.
3. The development of cooperation between Member States in the field of investment, facilitating the movement of capital and the fight against all types of smuggling.
4. Further strengthening the historical, social and cultural ties that bind the peoples of the Horn of Africa and the South of the Red Sea.
5. The prohibition of conflicts and their resolution in a peaceful way, the solution of confrontation between the states of the region through dialogue and peaceful means.
6. Maintaining and coordinating regional cooperation between Member States in the fight against international terrorism.
