LittleBigPlanet 2 - a game for the PlayStation 3 platform, the sequel to LittleBigPlanet , which is a combination of genres from the puzzle , platformer and level editor . It was first announced on the website of the game development company Media Molecule on May 10, 2010 [1] . The game is published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe . LittleBigPlanet2 , like the first part of the game, (although it is also on the Playstation Portable ) will be available only for the PlayStation 3 game console [2] .

As in the previous version of the game, players can dress up their hero, change his appearance (for example, stick his nose) and dress up in male and female clothes. Thus, from a rag man of indeterminate sex, a boy ( English Sackboy ) or a girl ( English Sackgirl ) is obtained , depending on the preferences of the player.
The initial release of the game was scheduled for November 2010, but in September a representative of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced that the release was postponed to January 2011. The delay was explained by the fact that the developers decided to spend more time polishing the game [3] .

LittleBigPlanet2 Training Leak
Talk about a possible continuation of the game went back in 2009. On July 8, 2009, in an interview with gamesindustry.biz, one of the founders of Media Molecule, Alex Evans, stated that all the content created for LittleBigPlanet would turn into enormous wealth if the continuation of the game had access to it. To a specific question about whether the continuation of the game is being prepared, Alex answered more discreetly: “Let's just say that I would like the game to be continued. This is by no means an announcement, but the entire Media Molecule team is working on LittleBigPlanet ” [4] .
Prior to the official announcement of LittleBigPlanet2 , information leaked to the network that Media Molecule was working on a sequel to LittleBigPlanet . In the journal of twitter musician Ocher in mid-April 2010 there was a record that the musician licensed his track called Infotain Me for use in the game Little Big Planet 2 [5] .
Playstation Move Support
Sony representatives at the Game Developers Conference demonstrated several levels of LittleBigPlanet 2 that supported the PlayStation Move controller. Players using the controller could pick and move various items by level. It was confirmed that the game will support Playstation Move, but this controller will not be the only exclusive device for controlling the rag man [6] .
Support for Move was added in game update 1.06 in September 2011.
Differences from LittleBigPlanet
The main difference between LittleBigPlanet 2 from the original is precisely the presence of the storyline. You are invited to save the Little Big Planet from terrible danger, at the same time visiting a huge number of interesting locations and meeting with various characters.
The main idea of the game remains the same - it is a platformer with the famous level editor, which can be played either alone or together with the company. The creators have created new levels for passing. The number of tools and objects with which you can interact in the game has been significantly increased.
In addition, the level editor has been improved: several hundred new parameters and functions, as well as AI Sackbots, have been added. The work with objects that can be created and used in the game, and with their management tools has been improved. Users can fully determine the behavior of an object in the game, program the logic of its operation and reaction to the impact. The developers also emphasized that the players now have in their hands a tool that will allow them to create their own game - not a separate level that obeys the general laws of the game, as it was in LittleBigPlanet , but a world completely different from the original with its own unique characters and mechanisms.
