The origins of Quando are on the Bie plateau in Angola near the village of Macai [2] .
The river flows through Angola , along the eastern part of the province of Gwando-Kubango, then through Namibia and Botswana. In the middle course (about 225 km) it is a border river between Angola and Zambia [8] .
