Nikolai Alekseevich Alekseev ( March 17 [30], 1914 - September 28, 1977 ) - Soviet military pilot . Biography

Born March 17 (30), 1914 in the village of Rybnoe [2] . In 1933 he graduated from 9 classes of a school in Ryazan. He worked as an assistant locomotive driver, head of a club in the village of Mervino (now within Ryazan).

In the army since December 1936 . In 1937 he graduated from the Orenburg Military Aviation School of pilots and observer pilots. He served as a navigator in AON-2, in the Oryol Military District .

A participant in hostilities in China in August 1939 - January 1940. He made several sorties on a DB-3A bomber as part of an air squadron under the command of N. A. Kozlov.

Member of the Great Patriotic War:

  • In December 1941 - May 1943 - navigator of the link of the 750th long-range aviation regiment. Participated in a counteroffensive near Moscow, in the defense of Leningrad and the Battle of Stalingrad.
  • Since May 1943 - navigator of the air squadron, deputy navigator of the regiment for radio navigation
  • Since December 1943 - navigator of the 18th Guards Long Range Aviation Regiment. He participated in the liberation of Smolensk, Crimea and Romania, the assault on Koenigsberg and the Berlin operation.

By August 1944, made 218 sorties on the DB-3 and IL-4 bombers.

For courage and heroism shown in the battles, Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 19, 1944 guards Major Alekseev Nikolai Alekseevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 4066).

After the war, he continued to serve in Long-Range Aviation. In 1947 he graduated from the Higher Navigation Advanced Courses at the 2nd Ivanovo Higher Aviation Officer School for Long-Range Aviation. Since 1953 - navigator inspector at the General Staff of the Air Force . Since May 1961, Colonel N. A. Alekseev in stock.

He lived in Moscow . He died on September 28, 1977 . He was buried at the Kuzminsky cemetery in Moscow.
