History
The Union for Renewal and Justice Party arose in 2010 in Cologne , formed from representatives of the Bonn Muslim Council public organization, and was originally called the Union for Freedom and Justice. The initiator was the chairman of the Muslim Council in Bonn, Haluk Yildiz . He became the chairman of the new party.
Election Participation
In 2009, Germany’s first Muslim migrant party, created by Haluk Yıldız, participated in the elections to the Bonn City Council [1] , won 2.11% of the vote, and won two parliamentary seats. They were occupied by Haluk Yildiz and Gulia Dogan ( German: Hülya Dogan ), who became the first woman in the German representative bodies to wear a headscarf.
