Biography
He participated in the founding of the IKP in 1921, in 1924-1926 - Secretary of the Labor Chamber in Livorno . In 1931-1933 - in exile in France, in 1933-1936 - in the USSR. A participant in the Spanish Civil War is a commissar, later a commander of a battalion of Italian anti-fascists. Member of the guerrilla war in Abyssinia . During the Second World War in 1940-1943 led the groups of the resistance movement in southern France. In 1943-1945 - one of the organizers of the Resistance movement in northern Italy, played a prominent role in the creation of patriotic action groups, was the commander of the united partisan command of Emilia-Romagna . Since 1945, he led the Federation of IKP in Livorno. Since 1948 - Senator of Italy. He died in a car accident in 1951.
