Rock's Backpages is a website , an online library containing music press material from 1950 to the present. The resource was founded in 2000 by the British journalist Barney Hoskyns. As of January 2008, the database contains over 12,000 articles (interviews, features, reviews, etc.) and covers a wide range of popular music artists (including blues and soul ). [one]

Access is paid, but some of the materials are in the public domain (registration is required) [2] .
The database includes articles from the magazines Creem , Rolling Stone , New Musical Express , Melody Maker , Crawdaddy! , Mojo, and others, feature articles from over 300 journalists, mainly from the United States and the United Kingdom, including Dave Marsh , Nick Kent , Charles Shaar Murray , Nick Nick Tosches), Mick Farren (Mick Farren) and Ian MacDonald (Ian MacDonald). All materials in the database are presented with full consent and with the permission of the copyright holders.
