Biography

Born in the Chita region.

In 1972 he graduated from the Rostov Institute of Railway Engineers .

In 1980, he graduated from the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov .

In 1998 he graduated from the North Caucasus Academy of Public Service .

In 2000, under the supervision of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor V. G. Ignatov, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Political Science on the topic “Political radicalism in modern Islam (based on materials from the Middle East and North Caucasus)” (specialty 23.00.02 - “Political institutions and processes”).

In 2003 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic “Islamic radicalism: essence, ideology, political practice” (specialty 09.00.11 - social philosophy).
