Content
History
The village of Krasnoshchekovskaya belonged to the Second Don Region of the Don Army Region . The village was formed on state lands at the beginning of the 20th century, named after Major General F.I. Krasnoshchekova [2] . According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Region, the Don army in 1915 in the village of Krasnoshchekovskaya lived 569 male and 490 [3] female souls, the land allotment of the village was 6026 acres, the village had a village and farm board, school [4] .
According to the 1926 All-Union Census , 169 people lived in the hamlet of Krasnoshchekov of the Krasnoshchekovsky village council of the Oblivsky district of the Shakhty-Donetsk district of the North Caucasus region , all Great Russians , 84 of them were Cossacks [5] . The date of renaming to Bokachevka has not been established.
General physical and geographical characteristics
The farm is located in the steppe , on the left bank of the Mashka River, at an altitude of about 100 meters above sea level [6] . The terrain is hilly-flat, several beams depart from the Mashka valley [6] . Soils are dark chestnut solonetzic and solonchak soils [7] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of Rostov-on-Don is 360 km, to Volgograd - 200 km, to the regional center of the village of Oblivskaya - 38 km, to the nearest city of Surovikino, Volgograd region - 66 km, to the administrative center of the rural settlement of Alekseevsky hamlet - about 9 km [8] .
