The Letzeburger Magazine [1] [2] ( Luxemburg. Lëtzebuerger Journal - Luxembourg Newspaper) is a Luxembourgish daily newspaper in German and French. The editorial staff of the newspaper pursues a liberal-centrist policy, supporting the Democratic Party .

The newspaper was founded on April 5, 1948 , instead of being discontinued by Obermosel-Zeitung and l'Unio'n [3] . Both of these newspapers were attempts to create a mass liberal newspaper similar to the Luxemburger Zeitung , which had a long tradition, but was politically discredited during World War II .
In 2004, the daily circulation of the newspaper was 5,150 copies, which made it the fifth of six (at that time) in terms of the prevalence of daily newspapers in Luxembourg [4] . However, due to close ties with the Democratic Party (the third largest party in Luxembourg), the newspaper is more influential than it might seem at first glance [3] .
