Name Origin
The street was named in 1964 along the White Sea , along the city of Belomorsk and the White Sea-Baltic Canal due to its location in the north-west of Moscow. Prior to this, the construction process was called Projected Driveway No. 3670 [1] [2] .
Description
Belomorskaya Street starts from Leningradskoye Shosse (on the territory of the Left Bank Region) with three sleeves: “southern”, “central” and “northern”:
“Southern sleeve” : two-way traffic in the first third, then one-way towards Petrozavodskaya street.
"Central sleeve" : two-way traffic, driving under the Leningradskoye Shosse, then in a roundabout: left and right - the Leningradskoye Shosse (to the center), straight ahead - passing to the Northern River Port (for official vehicles only).
“Northern sleeve” : two-way automobile traffic in the first third, then one-way towards Leningradskoye Shosse (to the region).
All three arms converge into one approximately 400 m after the start of the street (see Gallery).
Between the "arms" are Gazpromneft gas stations , the final stop (circle) of trolleybus number 6 and a parking lot.
The direction of the street in the first half: from southwest to northeast, in its second half, the street slowly turns to the east. The center line of the street between the turns to Smolnaya and Levoberezhnaya streets is the border between the Khovrino and Levoberezhny districts. Fully Belomorskaya Street enters the territory of the Khovrinsky District at the intersection with Left Bank Street.
