Content
Story
For Valdis Krasts - a prosperous and ambitious student of architecture at the Polytechnic Institute - the time has come for hard trials. The girl with whom he was going to leave, is expecting a baby and does not want to interrupt the pregnancy.
Mother fell in love and, in spite of all the arguments of her son, is ready to remarry. Her chosen one, a talented hydraulic engineer, agreed with the leadership of the Riga Institute to send a group of students, including Valdis, to the construction of a large Siberian hydroelectric power station, where Vadim Nikolaevich manages the responsible section.
There, on the banks of a large and beautiful northern river, Valdis makes a difficult decision for himself - not to interfere with the happiness of his mother. He understands that his born son should not grow up without a father.
