Burime ( fr. Bouts-rimés “rhymed ends”) is a literary game consisting of writing poems, often comic, for given rhymes , sometimes also for a given topic. Sometimes another game, also called “playing nonsense,” is also attributed to the burim: they write down several lines or even stanzas and give the piece to the partner for continuation, leaving only the last of them visible. You can also start drawing some creature, for example, from the head, twisting a piece of paper so that the partner can only see the neck and finish drawing the body, and so on.

History
They appeared in the XVII century (the inventor is the little-known French poet Dyulo), but acquired special distribution in the XIX - XX centuries - first only in the salons , and then in the widest circles ( students , pensioners and other categories). Along with flirting , solitaire , bingo and domino is a favorite pastime of the masses , competing even with active sports.
Examples of burime can be found in N. F. Ostolopov’s book The Dictionary of Ancient and New Poetry ( 1821 ).
Alexander Dumas in 1864 announced a competition for the burime and published the burime composed by 350 authors ( „Bouts-rimes publies par A. Dumas“ , 1865) [1] .
VL Pushkin , D.D. Minaev , A.A. Golenishchev-Kutuzov were famous for their ability to write to the burima in Russia.
In 1914, the St. Petersburg magazine "Spring" held a massive competition boom.

Burime was popular with poets of the 20th century ( Breton , Eluard , Aragon )
Burime was one of the traditional tasks in the KVN contests.
Today, the burime also exists as a network interactive game on several sites with different rules, design and atmosphere. On some sites, ratings are kept and competitions are held; on others, the voting mechanism allows participants to rate various burimes and rhymes: bad poems are excluded from the main list, and bad rhymes (love / blood, beat / love) are thrown out of the dictionary. The “good” are considered unexpected (Aybolit / “Catering”) and composite rhymes: “Manina / mind is mute”, “or Jeannette / or not” (these and the following examples were taken from the first Russian web site Burima, existing since 1995 ).

In the network versions of the game, creative variations are possible within the framework of the rules strictly verified by the program. For example, where a line is provided for a title, it can be used as an additional line of text. Thus one can write pentads organized according to the scheme of the Limichi :
