The flag was approved on February 19, 2010 [1] and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 5914.
Description
“A cloth with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, consisting of two unequal parts — blue (at the shaft, in 1/3 of the cloth) and white; they are separated by a thin double line, curved in the form of waves, white from the first part and blue from the second, descending from the upper angle at the hoist to the lower side. The white part of the cloth carries a full-color image of a soldier with a tree from the coat of arms of the city ready for planting. ”
Symbolization Justification
The flag language of allegories and heraldic symbols concisely reflects the history of the founding of the city.
The city of Novokubansk was formed from the village of Kuban, founded in 1867 by retired soldiers, which became the main idea of the city flag.
A soldier planting a tree on the bank of the river shows the founders of the city, who, having completed the service, began to build a new settlement, allegorically reflected by a young green tree. The soldier cleaver (a short sword or an elongated dagger - a weapon of the lower army ranks) in a scabbard and pointed into the ground symbolizes a retired soldier.
Green color speaks about the wealth and fertility of the Kuban region. Green is also a symbol of life, health and rebirth.
Blue wavy strip speaks of the river Kuban , which gave the name of the city. Blue ( azure ) is a symbol of honor, glory, devotion, truth of beauty, virtue.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of the highest value, greatness, strength, strength, magnanimity, dawn.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity, wisdom, generosity, mutual cooperation.
Black color - symbolizes prudence, wisdom, modesty, honesty and eternity of being.
