Greater Kiy is an island of the Kyia Islands archipelago. Administratively refers to the Pechenga district of the Murmansk region .

Located in the eastern part of the Varanger Fjord , 1.6 km from the western coast of the Rybachy Peninsula [1] .
It has a rounded shape. The length of the island from north to south is about 580 meters, the maximum width is 420 m. The island is elevated in the southern part, gently descending to the north. The coast is rocky with the exception of the southeast coast. The coastline is 1.6 km long, of which 270 m is a pebble beach in the southeast. The central, flat surface of the island is occupied by the tundra, covered with dozens of shell funnels. The diameter of the largest of them reaches 9 m.
