Aish (tributary of Alzette)

Aish ( Luxemburg Äisch , fr. and dumb. Eisch ) is a river flowing through the territory of Belgium and Luxembourg . The length of the river is 28 km, the basin area is about 172 km².

Aish River originates in Belgium near the village of . The height of the source of the river is 355 m above sea level. It then flows northwest through the territory of Luxembourg. It flows into the Alzette River near the village of Mersch .

It has a number of small tributaries.

There are seven ancient castles in the Aish River Valley, so at the beginning of the 20th century it was called the “ Valley of Seven Castles ” [1] .
