Antispast ( Greek antispastas - opposite) is a poetic size consisting of a four-syllable foot according to the pattern: ∪ - - ∪ [1] , in which the two middle syllables are long and the first and last syllables are short, a combination of iambic and choreic feet ( iambic chorea ).
According to the Big Encyclopedic Dictionary of Brockhaus and Efron , Antispast (Greek) - that is, counteracting, striving against - is the name of the poetic size, combining iambic (U — ́) and trocha (- U) . This size is almost exclusively used in choliamba . [2]
Antispast is peculiar only to the Greek and Latin languages [3] . Imitated antispast in Russian poetry is rare:
Versta from the left, | verst to the right, - M. Tsvetaeva |
Some theorists of the verse consider antispast to be the size consisting of a combination of horyambas with iambic chorea .
If, at least once, | your gaze is visible | - the lights of rose - Vyacheslav Ivanov |
Imitated antispast is found in Russian ditties and in Ukrainian folk poetry, since their rhythm freely uses rhythmic inversion moves, which are forbidden by the theory of syllabonic tonic versification , canonizing only constant rhythms [4] .
Do not suffer, girls, hefty: - Russian ditties |
The German came, | a guy came - translation from Ukrainian A. Globa |
Although politely - | to go - Russian ditties |
