Geographical position
The village of Kardashi is located 3.5 km from the right bank of the River Seim . At a distance of 1.5 km are the villages of Zozulino and Chernobrovkino , 4.5 km - the city of Putyvl . The forest tract Spadshchansky forest adjoins the village
Origin and History
On the territory of Ukraine there are 3 localities called Kardashi . From the Tatar language "Kardash" is translated as a relative, brother, in a figurative sense: friend.
History
The village of Kardashi was founded in the second half of the XVI century .
In January 1918, Soviet power was established here. In 1941β1942 they helped with food the fighters of Putivl partisan detachment S. A. Kovpak . In addition, they passed intelligence to the people's avengers. On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War , 290 villagers fought, 103 of them died the death of the brave, 160 were awarded government awards. [2]
