Part designed for threaded connection of pipelines . It is a piece of pipe having pipe ends at its ends. The thread is short at one end (5-6 threads), long at the other (20 .... 30 threads). Slope is most often used to connect two fixed pipelines when none of them can be turned. In the valve ( faucet , valve ) or fitting ( sleeve , tee , elbow) of one pipe, a flare is screwed (with a short thread end wrapped in sanitary flax and coated with sealing paste), a nut and a clutch are screwed to the other end of the flare. The end of another pipeline (it is with a long thread) is wrapped with flax and smeared with sealing paste, after which it is combined with the end of the drive. The rotation of the coupling is screwed onto the end of the pipeline, connecting it to the drive. Then, flax is wound between the coupling and the nut on the drive and the nut is pressed to the coupling.
