Background
During this period, it was important for Anders to re-establish himself as a solo artist and not to lose a significant number of fans of Modern Talking . In the summer of 2003, he signed a contract with NaKlar !, and work began on preparing a solo album. It was originally thought that Thomas would write songs for his disc in the fall of 2003, but after Dieter Bohlen released the autobiographical book “Behind the Scenes”, a decision was made to involve an international team of authors and producers in writing and recording songs. In the book, an entire chapter was devoted to their relationship with Anders and the reasons for the breakup of the group (the story was offensive to Anders), followed by a trial to ban the publication of the book.
Single Record
The song is written by Benjamin Boyce (Benjamin Boyce), Jenny Scheller (Jany Scheller) and Andreas Barren (Andreas Barren). The producer of the disk was Thomas's friend Peter Ries. “Independent Girl” is a song with a modern arrangement, the style of the song resembles the style of Modern Talking . The single features a b-side song, “In Your Eyes,” written by Thomas Anders and Peter Rees. This is one of the most beautiful love ballads ever written by Anders.
