Anatolian gull - a breed of pigeons, bred in Asia Minor , where the name Anatolian gull came from. Anatolian seagull was the forerunner of gulls - turbites in England and winged gulls in Germany .
Breed standard
Origin: Western Asia Minor (Anatolia). Around 1700-1750, they were brought to Germany and used as a basis for breeding all European species of flap gulls, including Turbites in England and German Flap gulls in Germany.
General impression: Short and wide body, elegant appearance, round-headed, short-billed.
Head: round, like a ball, wide and with a well-filled forehead, with full cheeks, always smooth-headed (without crest).
Eyes: Large, dark, light eyelids
Beak: short, dull and wide, as complete as possible in the upper and lower jaw, the curvature of the front line is smooth and goes down without bulging or failure. The line of closing of the beak crosses the head above the lower edge of the eyelids. The upper and lower jaws should match well; flesh-colored.
Neck: short and full, but tilted in the opposite direction, with good under-chest and frill.
Chest: broad and convex, belly short, well developed.
Back: short, sloping, broad at the shoulders.
Wings: short, tightly closed and adjacent.
Tail: short, tightly closed.
Legs: short, not feathered.
Plumage: short and wide; frill is well developed.
Color: Black, Dan (Dun), Brown, Khaki, Red, Yellow; Blue with black belts, hammered blue, blue with dark belts; Pale brown, pale khaki, ash red, ash yellow. Hammered: blue, pale brown, pale khaki, ash red, ash yellow. The breed has 16 species of color.
Color and pattern: Only shields and tail are painted, the rest of the plumage is white. Desirable from 8 to 10 white feathers in the spread of the wings, but 6 or 7, also can not be considered as a disadvantage, as long as the pattern of the oval shield is well limited. The shield should not be white or have separate, white feathers. Pants can be painted (colored hips) or white. Defects in color and pattern do not matter much.
SERIOUS DISADVANTAGES: Intermittent head profile, head too flat, narrow forehead, whip, straight, thin or narrow beak, long body, drooping wings, lack of chin and frills.
