Libyan Premier League The league is currently sponsored by the Libyan telephone company Libyana , from which comes the official name of the championship - Libyan Premier League . In the IFFIHS ranking , the Libyan championship takes 56th place, making it the 6th among the leagues of the Arab states [1] .

The Libyan Premier League was founded in 1963, up to this point in the country there were 3 championships in the Eastern, Southern and Western provinces. The first draw took place in 1963-1964.
